WHAT ARE GRIP SOCKS USED FOR?

Grip socks are a versatile fitness companion that are used in a variety of activities and in everyday life. The best-known use for them is in studio fitness classes like Pilates, yoga, and barre, where hygiene is a priority but regular socks would just slip and slide. They are also commonly used in hospitals, physical therapy spaces, or any place where the surfaces are smooth and you need a little extra grip.

WHY WEAR GRIP SOCKS?

Many Pilates, yoga, or barre studios require grip socks for hygienic reasons. Grip socks enhance your grip, balance, and stability, helping you to make the most out of your workout. Grip socks can also offer you a little extra support in your day-to-day, aiding you on all kinds of slippery surfaces like tile, hardwood, vinyl, and laminate. 

WHAT SIZE SOCK WILL FIT ME?

Adults:

Small (S): Fits women with shoe sizes ranging from 5-8; Fits men with shoe sizes ranging from 3 to 7
Medium (M): Fits women with shoe sizes ranging from 9 - 11; Fits men with shoe sizes ranging from 8-10
Large (L): Fits women with shoe sizes ranging from 11.5 and up; Fits men with shoe sizes ranging from 10 - 13.

Baby/Toddler: 

Our baby-sized socks fit most children from 12-24 months.

I AM BETWEEN SIZES. SHOULD I SIZE UP OR DOWN?

If you if you plan to use your grips for studio fitness (e,g., barre, Pilates or yoga) we recommend sizing down for a snug and secure fit. 

    HOW LONG UNTIL I GET MY SOCKS?

    For socks from our permanent collection, standard shipping by USPS takes approximately 4-7 business days, including handling.

    For a custom grip sock order, manufacturing + shipping is expected to take up to 6 weeks.

    HOW TO WASH GRIP SOCKS?

    To extend the life of your socks, we recommend turning them inside out before washing them on a warm setting. To maintain the integrity of the grips, dry your socks on low heat or air dry them.

    HOW MUCH DOES SHIPPING COST?

    Shipping is $5.00 for single pairs of socks. Shipping is free for 2 pairs or more.

    WHAT’S YOUR RETURN POLICY?

    If you're dissatisfied with your purchase for any reason, email us at info@gripcitysocks.com within 30 days and we’ll make it right, with a refund or a new pair.

    WHY CUSTOM GRIP SOCKS?

    Every studio fitness enthusiast knows the value of a good pair of grip socks. By customizing them to fit your studio’s unique brand, you’re creating a sense of community and brand loyalty among your clients that will keep them coming back again and again.

    WHAT MATERIALS ARE GRIP SOCKS MADE FROM?

    Grip socks can be made of any material that regular socks are made from, but not all grip socks are made equal. GripCity socks are made from a premium blend of stretchy performance fibers and breathable, natural merino wool, so your socks feel like a hug for your feet while keeping them dry and odor-free.

    WHAT SIZES DO YOU OFFER? 
    We offer two custom sizes for adults; S/M sock fits most women; M/L fits most men. We also make three sizes for children, ranging from 12 month to 10 years.

    WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE SOCK STYLES?

    1. Ankle: A low sock that cuts just below the ankle bone.  Features a customizable heel tab that prevents blisters when worn inside socks. Most popular for studio-based workouts such as Pilates, yoga & barre, HIIT, etc.
    2. 1/4 Crew: A sock that reaches just slightly above your ankle for those who like their socks to peek above their shoe and to keep their ankles warm. Has customizable stripes around the ankle.
    3. Crew: A full-coverage sock that reaches mid-calf. Has customizable stripes around the calf and extra ribbing at the top to keep the sock in place.

    HOW ARE MY GRIP SOCKS PACKAGED?

    Your custom GripCity socks come with custom paper packaging that highlights your logo. The standard packaging is black and white and also  highlights the collaboration between your brand and GripCity. Full color packaging requires a small additional fee, as does removing GripCity branding. All packaging has a built-in hang tag to allow for easy retail display that shows off your socks' grippy greatness. 

    WHAT'S THE MINIMUM AMOUNT OF GRIP SOCKS I CAN ORDER?

    Any custom grip sock order has a 300 pair minimum per color and style.

    HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?

    Each custom order is made "from scratch," requiring its own grip mold to be fabricated and yarn to be dyed to to meet your specifications. Standard orders can take around 60 days from the time we receive your deposit. Please let us know in advance if you are working with a specific deadline so we can plan and advise accordingly.

    WILL MY GRIP SOCKS LOOK EXACTLY LIKE THE MOCKUP DESIGN?

    The mockup illustration that you will receive before placing your order is a great indicator of how your custom grip socks will turn out.  Any changes to the mockup to accommodate our manufacturing requirements, such as shaving down or elongating an aspect of your logo to make it more grip tread-friendly will be approved by you before going to production.
